The Auditory Oral Children’s Center is a 501c3, non-profit agency serving young
children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing in their acquisition of spoken language.
We provide early intervention services for children, birth to 6 years, and their families
through individual therapy, parent education, and support groups.
Currently, health insurance companies limit habilitation coverage for children born
deaf and hard-of hearing and do not cover parent consultation or support services
for the family. These children require weekly therapy in order to maximize their
auditory development and subsequently learn to talk. Their parents also require
specialized training and support to assist in their child’s development thus, we seek
financial support from community agencies to provide these services to Central
Ohio families.
Please consider sponsoring our upcoming fundraiser to provide comprehensive
oral deaf education and therapeutic services for young children who are deaf and
hard-of-hearing. |
